Fred Meyer Double Coupons

For all my Bellingham readers:

I called the Fred Meyer on Bakerview and spoke to a Grocery Manager about FM accepting competitor coupons. I was told that they WOULD accept coupons from other stores, but they WOULD NOT accept Albertson's Double Coupons. I asked him to explain and he said that they wouldn't accept them because they weren't a store coupon, but rather a double the manufacturer coupon. I told him that it said right on the coupon that it was an Albertson's coupon. He said that they would not accept it and that this was a company wide policy. He went on to explain to me what I would consider price matching, not accepting competitor coupons.
