In my quest to find new and frugal gift ideas, I came across a wonderful company, Choice Soaps, who offer wonderful homemade soaps. These hand made creations are not only beautiful, but they smell wonderful. I am pretty picky about the scents in the products I use (lots of people with allergies in my family) but I can confidently say that after having used these soaps for awhile now, I have not had any problems with skin irritation or heavy perfume residue.
All of the soaps at Choice Soaps are handmade in small batches using only the highest quality food grade oils. Their recipes have been tried and tested to ensure consistently excellent results.
I’ve had the chance to try three different varieties from Choice Soaps and have loved all three.
My favorite is probably the Cedar & Sandalwood Castile. It has a nice, light fragrance and lathers up so nicely! I love the fact that I know I’m not putting harsh chemicals with unknown names on my skin.
The Planet Soap is so much fun! Take a look at a picture of it above. Wouldn’t this be beautiful in a gift basket? I love the vibrant colors and modern, fun, appearance Again, this soap has a nice, light fragrance.
The other Choice Soap that I have had the pleasure of trying is their Almond Java. It’s one of their best sellers and I can see why! It’s texture reminds me of those very expensive spa soaps that us frugal women won’t allow ourselves to buy. This soap is great because it IS affordable AND luxurious. And being from the Northwest, I love anything that is made from coffee beans!
