$20 Turkey or Ham for Free

If you picked-up a newspaper last Sunday (4/4/2009), you probably noticed the Unilever insert. Inside the front cover there is a rebate offer: Buy $40 worth of Unilever products before 4/30 and $20 worth of Turkey or Ham and send in for your rebate for $20! Here are some ways that you can sweeten the deal.

  1. In the same insert as the Unilever rebate are several coupons for Unilever products, including a coupon for $1.00 off of Axe body wash. This coupon does not specify a size. When a coupon does not specify a size, always try to find the smallest and least expensive product. This is the best use of your coupons, as you are often times able to score the product for free. Use this Axe body wash coupon at Walmart to buy the TRAIL (travel section) size Axe body wash that is for sale for $0.97. The register will beep and the cashier will have to adjust the price of the coupon to match the price of the item (unless you get a generous cashier who will give you overage). Example: If you bought 5 papers, suddenly you have $5 toward your free meat plus 5 free body washes.
  2. The current NW Albertson's deal features Kraft and Unilever products. The Albertson's deal is: Buy $25 worth of specified products and they will take $10 off your order (at my store, you DO NOT have to buy meat to make this work. Check with your cashier before you try this deal). Use coupons to bring your out of pocket (OOP) expense down and save your reciepts to use with your rebate offer.
  3. Keep track of the items you use everyday. See if you have any reciepts (4/1 - 4/30) featuring Unilever products already purchased.

Some examples of qualifing Unilever products are:

  • Skippy PB
  • Ragu
  • Vaseline
  • Knorr products
  • Axe products
